Had a dream there was a new six hour long HBomberGuy video that starts with him tryingnto debunk Daniel Molloys novel “Interview With The Vampire” as a fun short video. After thirty minutes in and pulling a “so obviously vampires arent real” thing he launches into a three hour tangent bringing up all the weird historical details that are completely accurate when you accounted for stuff like Louis saying the wrong cemetary or church name

Four hours in he breaks down and says “okay so, this would all point to actual pop rock artist Lestat De Lioncourt being a real vampire, and Kate pointed out he was playing in my town a couple weeks from when we were covering all this. So I called and asked him for an interview to see if I couldnt get a better feel for what was going on”

He then proceeded to take out colored contact lenses and remove the gloves hed been wearing the whole video to reveal he was a vampire and the title card just popped up saying “GUESS WHAT FUCKING HAPPENED” and I woke up before the next two hours of video could play

You guys are all aware that they trained people for those civil rights protests, right? That the people doing sit ins had to be trained to keep their cool as white people screamed invectives and pouring drinks on them? It was a very organized operation.

One of the greatest lies that recent American history has perpetuated is the idea that Rosa Parks was “just a tired Black woman who wanted to sit down on the bus” and not a motivated activist who trained with other civil rights luminaries and very intentionally got on that bus specifically to get arrested about it.

Can you think of a reason why they might not want you to know that the people staging sit-ins and getting arrested for sitting on the bus were trained and organized?

“The Saint Heron Library is home to our archival collection of primarily rare, out of print, and 1st edition titles by Black & brown authors, poets, & artists,” she captioned on Instagram.

Throughout time, when certain aspects of physical media aren’t accessible, a digital archive library is crucial in a society driven by fast-paced media consumption, where the depth and nuance of marginalized voices can easily be overlooked or forgotten.

In our digital age, where much of our interaction with media is limited to clicks and reposts, Knowles’ digital archive provides a safe space for scholarly and artistic work that might otherwise be lost. Saint Heron’s library aims to foster a space where the wisdom and creativity of these “great minds” can thrive, supported by an infrastructure that champions preservation and accessibility.

The library will not only serve as a place of significant works but also act as a catalyst for more conversations around artists, scholars and enthusiasts. “As the market and demand for these books, zines, and catalogues rises, we would like to play a small part in creating free access to the expansive range of critical thought and expression by these great mindsss,” Knowles said.
